Austin O’Brien is a litigator with experience in handling cases from inception to appeal. He has experience on both the plaintiff and defense sides drafting pleadings, handling discovery, appearing at court and settlement conferences, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, working with expert witnesses, and representing clients at mediation.

Prior to joining the firm, Austin gained experience at a boutique plaintiff-side medical malpractice firm and at a defense firm defending general liability and Labor Law matters.

Austin attended the University of Notre Dame as an undergraduate and then Fordham University School of Law. While at Fordham Law, Austin served as the Chair of the Fordham Dispute Resolution Society, was a member of the Fordham Mediation Clinic, and served as a mediator in Bronx County Small Claims Court. He received the International Academy of Dispute Resolution’s Outstanding Individual Mediator Award at its international law school mediation tournament and was the recipient of the John D. Feerick Award and the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award.

Austin loves playing guitar, watching Notre Dame football, and reading philosophy and history.
